Alex

CMHC

Alex was drawn to the field of therapy because she wanted to give back to others after receiving help herself. She has over 5 years of experience behind her, and is still driven by that motive today.

Graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Addiction and Recovery in 2016, and a Master’s Degree in Licensed Professional Counseling in 2019, from Liberty University. She is also working toward a Certificate in Sexual Health.

Her areas of expertise include trauma, stress, sexual health, anxiety, depression, psychosis, domestic/intimate partner violence, teens (15+), adults, couples and spiritual based counseling. She is passionate about issues surrounding sexual health, trauma, LGBTQ+, spirituality and domestic violence. She has experience and demonstrates sensitivity working with clients in the LGBTQ+ population. She has worked with various religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and is open to faith-based counseling, should a client be looking to incorporate this into their sessions.

Alex believes that the most important lesson people can learn about mental health is that anyone can struggle with it at times, and that it is an ongoing state of recovery. When working with Alexandra, clients have said they feel safe and understood, that she is authentic, genuine, and insightful. She has a heart for helping others and allows herself to learn from those experiences, as well.

When not working with clients, Alexandra loves to cook, play music, sing, do yoga and pilates, run, watch documentaries, take hikes. She loves to travel, has lived in various places all over the world, and also speaks German.
