Having always found the mind intriguing and having a desire to help others, Leithan drew on personal experiences and the experiences of those around him to choose a career path in mental health therapy.
In 2017, Leithan received is Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lewis-Clark State College in Northern Idaho, and earned his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern Christian University in Oregon.
Leithan enjoys working with trauma survivors, individuals that experience anxiety, depression, personality disorders, bipolar, and psychosis spectrum disorders. He has been certified in prolonged exposure therapy, trained in various therapy modalities including EMDR, illness management and recovery, dialectic behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
One aspect of mental health that is often overlooked is how it is as important as a physical health and other aspects of life. In order to cultivate a life worth living one must create balance.
Clients would describe Leithan as caring, genuine, compassionate, and humorous.
In his free time, Leithan enjoys spending time with his spouse and dogs, doing judo, exploring nature, and scuba diving.
